Greenbelt Labor Day Festival

The Greenbelt Labor Day Festival was started in 1955 as a way of raising funds to build a Youth Center. It has been held every year since. 2010 marks the 56th year of the Festival, which will take place from Friday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 6 at the Roosevelt Center, 101 Centerway in Greenbelt.
Join your neighbors for a weekend-long celebration including amusement rides, carnival games, live bands and entertainment, food and refreshments, sports and recreation for all ages, art exhibits and activities, talent competitions, the Miss Greenbelt pageant, and the Labor Day Parade.
The Carnival Midway will be open from 6 to 11 p.m., Friday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday; noon to 11 p.m., Sunday, and noon to 6 p.m., Monday. The Labor Day Parade will be on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Parking near the festival will be limited to disabled and emergency vehicles only. However, free shuttles will be provided from various locations around Greenbelt.
