Southwest Area Ark Aero Modelers, 2010 Family Fun Weekend Fly-In

The Southwest Area Park Aero Modelers radio controlled airplane club will host its annual Family Fun Weekend Fly-In event on Saturday, Sept. 25 and Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at 10 a.m. The event will be held at Baltimore’s Southwest Area Park.
The 2010 Family Fun Weekend Fly- In offers airplane enthusiasts, hobbyists and spectators two days of festivities, demonstration flights and training sessions for those interested in perfecting their flying skills. Open flying time is available throughout the event around the club’s 600 ft. by 150 ft. grass runway. A raffle will be held for a Giant Scale Hanger 9 Taylorcraft aircraft.
On Saturday, beginning at 4:30 p.m. the friendly fly-in will give way to acrobatic aerial maneuvers in a freestyle flying competition, with cash prizes awarded for the best flights.
The 2010 Family Fun Weekend Fly- In will be held at the SWAP Modelers Flying Site in Baltimore’s Southwest Area Park. Admission to the event is free.
